Both these practices allow him to open a field of reflection and analysis of the artistic processes he carries out. Public participation is an important part in all his projects, and models the end result of the works. He is interested in investigating territory from the standpoint of popular culture through elements such as the popular imagery, beliefs or taboos that provide it with a personality. He uses archive practices in order to document all the artistic processes that form the work and add a conceptual dimension. He is also interested in those traditional practices that are still preserved in a specific cultural and geographical context as a way to enquire into the territory. He reflects and reveals the idiosyncrasies of these places through elements that characterise them and make them unique.<\/p>\n<p>He holds a degree in Fine Arts from the Villa Arson National School of Higher Art, Nice, France (2014), and a National Diploma in Plastic Arts, DNAP, with honours, (2011 and 2014).<\/p>\n<p>His work has largely been exhibited in France, where he lives. He has exhibited at the Ferri\u00e9 de Draguignan Space (2012) and the Lafayette Cap 3000 Gallery, Nice (2015), at the Galerie de la Marine (2014, 2013), the Villa Arson National Centre of Contemporary Art (2013), the Jean M\u00e9decin swimming pool (2013), the Ren\u00e9 d\u2019Azur Foundation (2012) and at Salon de l&#8217;\u00c9cole Normale Sup\u00e9rieure d\u2019Art (2011). He has also exhibited at the KERAMIS Ceramics Centre in Morlanwelz, Belgium (2015).<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>E\u00e9srevni\u00a0er\u00e8ivir\u00a0al (The River Back to Front)<\/em><\/strong><strong><em>, <\/em><\/strong><strong>2015<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>He developed his project within the ETAC framework, firstly in Addaya, Centre of Contemporary Art, Alar\u00f3, Mallorca and then at the Empord\u00e0 Museum, Figueres.<\/p>\n<p>In a study of an anthropological nature, he created a video installation that followed from a project begun on the island of Ibiza in 2004. He investigated the course and function of water on the island to show us its mystical side and see how these beliefs have been passed down to us today. Water was shown as moving metaphorically from the past to the present.<\/p>\n<p>He followed the river through sound recordings of two of fountains in the village and a video map of the waters. He searched for the relation between beliefs, the subjectivity of buildings and cultural discourse. There is still a worship of water on the island, it is an element that is venerated, valued and a fertility symbol. The study of this particularity has let him value the relation the community has with water. En effet, mes r\u00e9sidences ont \u00e9t\u00e9 l\u2019objet d\u2019une d\u00e9marche exp\u00e9rimentale, sans programme pr\u00e9d\u00e9fini. Je me suis laiss\u00e9 aller \u00e0 un processus libre dont les \u00e9tapes s\u2019articuleraient autour des rencontres et des d\u00e9couvertes durant ce temps pass\u00e9 en territoires inconnus.<\/p>\n<p>C\u2019est une pens\u00e9e de la technique qui m\u2019a amen\u00e9 \u00e0 croiser dans ce projet les m\u00e9thodes d\u2019investigation. J\u2019utilise l\u2019eau comme sujet et fil conducteur de recherches \u00e9parses. Du sourcier \u00e0 l\u2019ing\u00e9nieur, j\u2019ai collect\u00e9 des donn\u00e9es et des mat\u00e9riaux afin d\u2019exp\u00e9rimenter la rencontre entre les croyances anciennes et la technique contemporaine. Du spirituel au technique, c\u2019est une remise en question du processus cr\u00e9atif qui s\u2019est d\u00e9velopp\u00e9e.<\/p>\n<p>Plusieurs intervenants ont \u00e9t\u00e9 sollicit\u00e9s comme des sourciers et des techniciens de l\u2019eau. Les sourciers, ou radiesth\u00e9sistes, s\u2019appuient sur une pens\u00e9e fond\u00e9e sur les \u00e9nergies telluriques qui traverseraient toutes mati\u00e8res et influeraient sur les \u00eatres vivants. Espaces, objets, architectures sont analys\u00e9s selon des proc\u00e9d\u00e9s diff\u00e9rents d\u2019un sp\u00e9cialiste \u00e0 l\u2019autre, laissant \u00e0 chacun l\u2019opportunit\u00e9 subjective de redessiner son environnement. L\u2019intervention fr\u00e9quente de sourciers et radiesth\u00e9sistes dans ce projet vise \u00e0 interroger les protocoles du regard, mettant en jeu le go\u00fbt et la croyance comme facteurs subjectifs du jugement. Peut-on voir sans croire\u00a0?<\/p>\n<p>Ainsi \u00e0 Alaro, j\u2019ai demand\u00e9 \u00e0 un sourcier local de signaler les \u00ab\u00a0courants magn\u00e9tiques\u00a0\u00bb qui traverseraient l\u2019atelier du centre d\u2019art et influencerait les \u00eatres vivants y s\u00e9journant. Le r\u00e9sultat fut une proposition in situ, <em>Supr\u00e9matisme tellurique,<\/em> dont le graphisme \u00e9voque les avant-gardes du si\u00e8cle dernier. Je crois que cette image \u00ab\u00a0pr\u00e9historique\u00a0\u00bb de la photographie \u2013 image sp\u00e9culative selon laquelle le dispositif lui-m\u00eame peut appara\u00eetre encore pris dans des mondes min\u00e9ral et v\u00e9g\u00e9tal \u2013 peut nous aider \u00e0 comprendre ce qu&#8217;il y a de \u00ab\u00a0sec\u00a0\u00bb dans la photographie. Cette s\u00e9cheresse, je l&#8217;identifie avec l&#8217;optique et la m\u00e9canique (\u2026) coup\u00e9e du sentiment d&#8217;immersion dans l&#8217;incalculable que j&#8217;associe \u00e0 \u00ab\u00a0l&#8217;intelligence liquide\u00a0\u00bb. (\u2026) Il devient clair maintenant que les syst\u00e8mes d&#8217;information \u00e9lectroniques et digitaux, produits par la vid\u00e9o et les ordinateurs, vont remplacer la pellicule photographique (\u2026). Pour moi, ce n&#8217;est ni bon ni n\u00e9cessairement mauvais, mais si un tel ph\u00e9nom\u00e8ne se produit, il y aura un nouveau d\u00e9placement de l&#8217;eau dans la photographie.
